Last week I was hanging out with my friend Madel in BGC High Street.
...She ordered wine and she plunked two ice cubes into her white wine. "Putting ice in wine is a thing now," she laughed.
Then I saw an article online situations in which it's totally fine to ice your wine.
1. when you're at the airport
2. You are a Grandma
3. It's damn hot outside
So, is this socially acceptable now? I'll often pour myself a glass of wine and I'll add ice - just like my mom. Sometimes I add Sprite and make it a spritzer. I read that European do that too. True, it makes the flavor less punchy but it also hydrates you, makes the drink lasts longer ans is a fun way to mix it up. Manu usually put coca cola on his wine, he said its popular in Spain and they call it Kalimoxto. Sometimes it's just what you're mood for - isn't that what wine is all about?
Thoughts? Do you put ice in your wine? Or no way?
