Manila, Philippines - Star Cinema offers another family drama that combined some of the most popular actor and actresses in their generations. Helmed by ultimate box office director Cathy Garcia Molina and starred by Aga Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Christine Reyes, Enrique Gil, and Ronaldo Valdes, Seven Sundays tackles family issues where four siblings will reunite to fulfill their dying father's wish.

Ano ang gagawin mo pag nalaman mong may taning na ang tatay mo? dito iikot ang istorya ng pelikula. The point of the movie is beyond sickness, it focuses more on their relationship with each other, and  their own struggles in life.

All the stars shine in their respective scenes. Enrique is my favorite in this film. He might not have the most moments, but he certianly makes the best of what he has to do. The way he switch emotions in seconds is a testament of how much growth he has achieved already. What I particularly like about his performance is that he's not getting all the forefront in terms of scenes, and he usually relegated to reacting in most of them, but he plays the same intensity to all of them. Dingdong, who played Bryan on the other hand, is the reliable dramatic actor that delivers, and he benefits from the characters that was complexly written, and he pays that off by giving it justice. His moment during the confrontation is really effective and one of the film's highlights. Very intense ang acting ni Dong during the scene where he bares his insecurities sa kanyang mga kapatid, yung struggle nya just to prove his worth sa family, damang dama mo talaga. This movie is a great comeback for Aga. Aga Muhlach is still Aga Muhlach, he is definitely back through this film. Matagal man natin sya di nakita na gumawa ng movie, his brilliance as an actor is still there. He has a lot of heart warming moments lalo na dun sa anak nya. I like also yun scene nila ni Dingdong, you can feel their characters eh and kung san nanggagaling yun hugot nila. Ronaldo Valdez, plays the father of the siblings, firm but gentle. He shines in the movie thanks for his comedic timing. Laughtrip si Mang Manuel.

Seven Sundays is actually quite remarkable. Its indulgent comedy parts are mostly hilarious, its extensively dramatic climax, moving. Direk Cathy seems an expert in combining both genres without audiences getting confused by this mix. The movie is entertaining and easily likable. It is the movies disarming earnestness that is truly admirable. Direk Cathy forgets all notion of subtlety, allowing her actors, all of whom are brilliant, to emotionally verbalize regrets and apprehensions that most of us would never dare to expose. There is simply no pretensions of depth or insights as it specifically targets the heart - tagos ang bawat eksena, nakita ko ang sarili ko sa bawat characters kaya makakarelate sinumang manood, hindi man tayo lahat naging kapatid, lahat tayo naging anak. I suggest watch it with your family, the movie will make you appreciate the true meaning of FAMILY.

"Seven Sundays" now showing in cinemas nationwide.
