A fun, adrenaline rush of thriller about an insurance salesman (Liam Neeson as Michael), whose daily commute home quickly becomes anything but routine. After being confronted by a mysterious stranger (Vera Farmiga), Michael is blackmailed into finding the identity of a passenger on his train before the last stop. As he works against the clock to solve the puzzle, Michael is unwittingly caught up in a criminal conspiracy that carrries life and death stakes for himself and his fellow passengers.

The Commuter is an entertaining flick that doesn't require much effort on the part of the audience. This is the fourth teaming of Neeson and Director Jaume Collet-Sera. The director concepts are simple, his plots streamlined, and the action scenes are spectacular. It is well written from beginning to end. It just gets better and better as the story progresses. The action exhilarates but never interferes with the merits that attracted the director to this material to begin with: the thrill of moral hazard, the bond of people inside the train, and the celebration of brotherhood and friendship. Overall, I enjoyed this movie even if I get to used in watching "Taken".

This is a PG 13 movie for some intense action/violence. Starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, and Patrick Wilson under the Direction of Jaume Collet-Sera, written by Byron Willinger, Phil de Blasi, and Ryan Engle. Now showing in theaters nationwide.
