Sometimes all you have to do is look at the casting, and you can guess where the movie will take you. If a movie named " Mama's Girl" co-stars Sylvia Sanchez and Sophia Andres, you know it's a tearjerker. Plus it is produced by Regal Films.

"Mama's Girl" is an endearing mother and daughter portrait that tackles Love, Passion, Commitment, and  Forgiveness. Topbilled by Veteran Actress Ms Sylvia Sanchez and one of Kapamilya Star Sophia Andres. This inspirational drama has a lot of twist that moviegoers should watch. It is the story of Mama Mina (Sylvia) and Abby (Sophia), a single mother and her daughter's journey. It talks about the generation gap between millennials and older generation, different perspective on love and life, and their journey to find their own way.

The film is very positive and timely. Specially now, Millenials have their own ways of handling things which sometimes Parents cannot understand. Definitely a good choice for Regal Films to chose to be their opening salvo for 2018. It is a great movie for mother and daughter to bond over. Bring lots of tissues. Even Mother Lily during the premiere night cried. You will understand the pain of each character, how it feels to be alone and how to start all over again.

But the movie is not all about making you cry, it is also a treat for SOFIEGO Fans since it will also make you smile and "kilig". Diego Loyzaga and Sophia Andres has a lot of kilig scenes - favorite ko yun pinapalitan yun gulong scene and yun sa car scene na biglang pumasok si Diego sa bintana, grabe ang scene infairness nag mature na sila.  These two actors team up so well, ang ganda ng chemistry nila on screen. Iisipin mo talaga na mag jowa sila. Other actor, who shine on this movie is Jameson Blake, this guy can really act. Habang tumatagal, mas lalong humuhusay si Jameson at pagwapo ng pagwapo. The camera loves him so much. What's more refreshing about this movie is its unforced romantic-drama and it's relaxed and natural-seeming actors.

Still, "MAMA'S GIRL" is exactly the kind of movie that a mother and teen daughter could see and have a lot to talk about afterward.

Written by Award winning Scriptwriter Gina Marisa Tagasa and Directed by Connie Macatuno. Also Starring Diego Loyzaga, Jameson Blake, Heaven Peralejo, Yana Asistio, Arlene Muhlach and many others.

Showing on January 17 in Theaters nationwide. Bukas na!
