Star Cinema opens 2018 with a bang! Judy Ann Santos and Angelica Panganiban team up for the very first time in a comedy film directed by Jun Robles Lana.
It is a story of two men who fall in love with one another while in a relationship with their wives. Judy Ann played the role of Lianne Reyes, wife of Gary Reyes (Joross Gamboa) who is out for revenge with her husbands romance with Felix Reyes (JC De Vera), who happens to be the husband of Cindy Reyes (Angelica's character).
"Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes" is worth seeing for the description of what love is. This is a great film for all relationships or singles. If you have ever wanted to torture your friend for being in a perfect relationship, or were used by someone to get ahead, you will be able to relate to the characters. This is a movie you'll want to quote and watch over and over again.
It is a fun and enjoyable movie with an excellent cast. Juday and Angelica are hilarious! There are some very funny "revenge" moments and those parts alone make the movie worth watching. Although the plot is on the same order of predictability with other movie which tackles deceit and infidelity, Direk Jun Lana smatters the concept with some interesting concept and characters since the couple involve are gay men. I'm not really in love with the plot, but the character development and small details are excellent. It is a comedy film with lots of crazy punch lines, but you will also feel the pain of deception and how couple handles infidelity problems. Kudos to Angelica and JC who showed their dramatic skills on this film.
The film reveals that in genuine affairs of the Heart, nothing is ever predictable.
Also in the cast are Carmi Martin, Nico Antonio, Andrea Brillantes, and Gladys Reyes.
"Ang Dalawang Mrs Reyes" is Now Showing in Cinemas nationwide.
