GMA Prime’s hit action series Taskforce Firewall continues to dominate the ratings as its storyline becomes more intense, action-packed, and filled with thrilling twists that keep viewers hooked night after night.
During a media set visit at the series’ location taping, cast members Kyline Alcantara, Miguel Tanfelix, Jak Roberto, Chesca Fausto, Luis Hontiveros, and Buboy Villar opened up about what viewers can expect in the upcoming episodes—and according to them, bigger missions, explosive action sequences, and shocking revelations are on the way.
One of the biggest highlights of the interview came from Miguel Tanfelix, who revealed that his contributions to Taskforce Firewall go beyond acting.
Miguel, who plays Galo in the series, shared his experience co-directing several scenes after being entrusted by the show’s director to handle important sequences. According to the actor, the scenes turned out well, proving how hands-on he has been with the project.
What makes this even more impressive is that Miguel has a background in directing, having studied the craft himself. His passion for storytelling and strong creative instincts have become evident throughout the production, showcasing his promising potential behind the camera.
With the talent and dedication he continues to display, many believe Miguel has what it takes to become an accomplished director in the future. Could “Director Miguel” be next? Fans certainly think so.
Miguel also expressed excitement about the possibility of working alongside one of his idols, Dingdong Dantes, in Taskforce Firewall.
He hopes Dingdong’s character Atoy from The Master Cutter could eventually cross paths with Galo and help Team Firewall in one of their most challenging missions yet.
“He would help us in our toughest mission. If we need a disguise, if we need suits—woah, that would be possible!” Miguel said.
Fans may recall that Galo made a surprise appearance in the pilot episode of The Master Cutter as an undercover soldier working with Atoy to capture an Italian-Argentinian arms dealer, creating buzz among viewers over the possibility of a bigger crossover.
Meanwhile, another major development viewers should watch out for is the arrival of Kyline Alcantara’s character, forensic analyst Callie Sandoval.
Callie’s entry into the series is expected to bring not only intelligence and technical expertise to Taskforce Firewall, but also mystery and emotional depth due to her intriguing connection with Galo.
According to Miguel, Callie’s arrival will significantly change the group’s dynamic.
“She adds more color to the entire Team Firewall and changes the group dynamics once Callie is there,” he shared.
With Callie joining the team, viewers can expect deeper investigations, more complex missions, and long-buried secrets slowly coming to light—especially surrounding her mysterious relationship with Galo.
More than just an action-packed drama, Taskforce Firewall aims to raise awareness about the growing threat of cybercrime and promote prevention through compelling and relevant storytelling.
As Team Firewall faces more dangerous threats in the digital world, the stakes continue to rise.
Expect more intense action, bigger revelations, and jaw-dropping twists in the coming days.
Catch Taskforce Firewall Mondays to Fridays at 8:55 p.m. after The Master Cutter on GMA Prime and via Kapuso Stream and GMA Play, with a delayed telecast on GTV. Global Pinoys can also watch via GMA Pinoy TV.
