The much-awaited return of “Dating Alys Perez” is finally happening as Viva One officially reunites Rabin Angeles, Angela Muji, and Zeke Polina for the adaptation of the hit Wattpad story by BEEYOTCH. Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, the series premieres exclusively on Viva One this June 12.
Fans can expect a more emotional and mature journey this season as the beloved RabGel tandem takes on more challenging themes and complicated relationship dynamics.
Unlike before, Angela Muji shared that viewers will see a different side of their chemistry with Rabin Angeles.
“Hindi na kami pa-tweetums lang this season,” Angela revealed during the media conference. “Mas mabibigat yung issues na tinackle ng show. Kahit hindi namin personal na napagdaanan, kailangan naming mag-immerse talaga sa characters.”
The actress also opened up about how she and Rabin became each other’s strength throughout the filming process.
“Ginagawa naming strength ang isa’t isa. We support each other all the time,” she said.
Rabin also candidly shared that in real life, he has fought for Angela many times already, although both stars still prefer to keep the deeper details of their relationship private.
Adding to the excitement, director Crisanto B. Aquino admitted that working with the cast again felt effortless because of their strong familiarity and chemistry.
According to Direk Cris, there was barely any need for adjustments on set since they were already comfortable working together in the same environment.
“Isang tingin ko lang kina Rabin at Angela, alam na nila agad kung good take na,” the director shared, highlighting the deep creative connection they have built over time.
With its relatable themes about love, choices, sacrifices, and emotional growth, “Dating Alys Perez” promises to deliver kilig and heartbreak that many young viewers can relate to.
