SULONG! PPOP CONCERT 2025 DRAWS THOUSANDS, MARKS MILESTONE FOR FILIPINO POP

MANILA — Filipino pop music reached a new high as SULONG! PPOP Concert 2025, presented by Atlast Media, successfully filled the SM North EDSA Skydome on December 23, drawing thousands of fans for what is now considered the largest PPOP concert of 2025.

Held as a year-end celebration, the concert showcased the growing strength of the PPOP movement, bringing together today’s rising Filipino pop acts in one major event. True to its title, “Sulong,” meaning to move forward, the concert highlighted the continued momentum of local pop music and its expanding fan base.

The 7:00 PM main show featured 17 PPOP groups, each delivering high-energy performances that reflected the diversity of Filipino pop sounds and styles.

Fans packed the venue, waving light sticks and chanting fan cheers, as various fandoms gathered under one roof to support the growing PPOP community. Organizers said the turnout and audience engagement underscored the genre’s increasing presence in the local mainstream music scene.

Beyond the performances, the event also served as a platform for young fans and aspiring artists, reinforcing the message that Filipino pop music continues to create space for the next generation of performers.

SULONG! PPOP Concert 2025 was mounted in partnership with SM Fandom, with support from SM North EDSA. The concert was presented by Atlast Media and directed by Azlan Lamponi, featuring a production designed to highlight both established and emerging PPOP acts.

As the show ended, fans expressed optimism about the future of Filipino pop, with Sulong! being seen as a key step in pushing PPOP further into the national spotlight.
