Following the milestone-filled 38th Awit Awards Powered by Vibe, MQuest Ventures reaffirmed its commitment to elevating Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and empowering Filipino artists and fans alike. Held on November 16, 2025, at the Meralco Theater, this year’s Awit Awards marked a groundbreaking collaboration between the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) and Vibe, the country’s fan-powered OPM countdown under MQuest Ventures.
The ceremony showcased the best of OPM’s rising stars, established hitmakers, and legendary icons—signaling a new era where heritage and innovation come together to shape the future of Filipino music.
MQuest Ventures Strengthens OPM Movement Through Vibe
MQuest Ventures, the entertainment and content production arm of MediaQuest Holdings, emphasized that their mission goes beyond producing events. Through Vibe, they aim to build a movement that strengthens the connection among artists, fans, and the industry.
MediaQuest Holdings President and CEO Jane Jimenez-Basas highlighted this purpose during the awarding ceremony.
“Vibe provides platforms for OPM artists, and what better way to actually recognize these performers than a partnership with the Awit Awards. We hope this partnership lasts for a long, long time as we continue to provide a platform for OPM and Filipino artistry.”
MediaQuest Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan echoed the sentiment, calling the Vibe–Awit Awards alliance a catalyst for OPM’s growth and expansion.
“The goal of Vibe is simple—to give our artists and their fans a venue where they can listen and discover the new Filipino sounds, where young talents can show their voice and shape the new OPM.
My assurance to all of you is that Vibe and TV5 MediaQuest will keep working with Awit Awards to connect your industry to people across boundaries of economic classes, gender, geography, language, and age.”
A Night Celebrating Filipino Talent, Legacy, and Innovation
The event brought together an impressive roster of performers and presenters who have shaped the OPM landscape. Icons such as Nina, Randy Santiago, Christian Bautista, Morissette, Ice Seguerra, Vehnee Saturno, and Wency Cornejo graced the stage to honor today’s artists and introduce new acts shaping modern Filipino sound.
The stage featured exceptional performances from top OPM artists, including Regine Velasquez, BINI, Ben&Ben, Dulce, Lolita Carbon, Lola Amour, Dionela, and more—turning the awards night into a convergence of generations and genres.
BINI and Ben&Ben Lead Big Wins
Nation’s Girl Group BINI received the Vibe Stan Award for their fandom BLOOMS, recognized as the year’s most passionate and dedicated fan community. The group also bagged Favorite Album of the Year for Talaarawan and Favorite Group Artist.
Meanwhile, Ben&Ben took home the Album of the Year award for The Traveller Across Dimensions. In their speech, lead vocalist Miguel Benjamin reflected on the band’s journey:
“Anyone who is in a team or in a group trying to achieve something, never forget the friendship that made you come together in the first place and hold onto that when times are tough.”
Honoring OPM Legends
A major highlight was the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid to Viva Communications Chairman and CEO Vicente “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr. His pioneering work, especially through Vicor Music, laid the foundation for generations of OPM legends including Freddie Aguilar, Rey Valera, and Sharon Cuneta.
Del Rosario shared that their early mission was simple:
“To make OPM better than foreign songs.”
He expressed pride in witnessing OPM’s unprecedented rise and vowed continued support for Filipino talent.
Violet Carpet & People’s Voice Awards: A New Era of Fan Engagement
In line with Vibe’s mission to elevate fan participation, the 38th Awit Awards introduced the Violet Carpet, a reimagined red carpet experience that brought fans closer to their favorite artists through conversations, interactive moments, and immersive OPM culture.
Fans also played a decisive role through the People’s Voice Awards, voting across categories including Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Group Artist, and Favorite New Group Artist. This initiative underscored the vital role of fans in shaping the direction of modern OPM.
Reaching Campuses and Future OPM Leaders
Ahead of the awards night, Vibe launched its Campus Tour across major universities such as Lyceum of the Philippines University, Emilio Aguinaldo College, and National University Fairview. The initiative allowed student artists to showcase their talent and engage with emerging OPM names—strengthening the next generation’s involvement in the industry.
A Legacy That Goes Beyond the Awards Night
Co-presented by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the Awit Awards remains the most respected and credible music award-giving body in the Philippines. This year’s partnership with Vibe marks a transformative chapter—one that prioritizes transparency, inclusivity, and genuine connection.
The 38th Awit Awards Powered by Vibe proved that OPM is more than a genre—it is a movement, a culture, and a shared heart of the Filipino people. And with MQuest Ventures vowing unwavering support, the future of Filipino music shines brighter than ever.
