Santé PH celebrates success and recognizes achievers at the ‘Go for S.P.E.E.D. Gala Night’

THE Santé Philippines’ Go for S.P.E.E.D. Gala Night, a gathering of distributors from across the Philippines, including top executives from Indonesia, was grand and special. Held at the Marriott Hotel on January 30, the night was all about positivity and recognition. Top performers were handed awards and prizes in the form of cars, real estate, and luxury international travel. To keep the event lively,  hosting was handled by Cat Triviño and James Deakin and entertainment was provided by Sparkle artist Jeniffer Maravilla.

The Santé Philippines gala was ignited by Paul Caluag's powerful message, centered on the acronym S.P.E.E.E.D.: Synergy, Passion, Energy, Excellence, and Determination. He wasn't just talking about putting in the hours, he was demanding a shift in mindset. "Effort alone won't cut it," he declared, "we need to accelerate, to make a real impact." The core of his address revolved around unlocking a new level of progress, a challenge he confidently stated Santé was already tackling. "We have the answer," he asserted, "and tonight, we celebrate that very answer."

Caluag's excitement was seen as he welcomed the attendees, highlighting the collective understanding of "speed" as a driving force. He acknowledged the diverse group present, from visionary leaders to dedicated staff and supportive guests, emphasizing their role in Santé's unstoppable momentum. "Your innovation in speed," he stated, "is what propels us forward."

He then delved into the specifics of S.P.E.E.E.D., stressing the individual importance of each component. Synergy, he explained, was the strength found in collaboration. Passion was the fuel that kept them going through adversity. Energy, visible in the room, was the driving force behind their work. Excellence was the unwavering standard they upheld. And Determination was the weapon they used to overcome obstacles. These values, he emphasized, were the foundation of their mission to improve lives.

Caluag clarified that "speed" was not merely about quickness, but about purposeful action. He urged attendees to set clear goals and act immediately, combating procrastination. He emphasized the need for adaptability in a rapidly changing world and stressed the importance of integrity, highlighting that lasting success was built on trust. He also encouraged gratitude, recognizing its power to transform challenges into opportunities.

Looking ahead, Caluag challenged everyone to embody the values of S.P.E.E.E.D. as they moved towards 2025. He addressed the business owners directly, reminding them that building their businesses with love, respect, and integrity would ensure long-term success. He acknowledged the dedication of the staff and urged everyone to make 2025 a year of synergy, passion, energy, excellence, and determination. He concluded by encouraging everyone to "live for more."

As the Santé event neared its closing, each leader drew inspiration from icons and shared with ever before a toast. 

CEO Joey Marcelo set the pace, quoting Mario Andretti: "As Mario Andretti said, 'Speed is never a problem, only the lack of it.' Let's commit to a future fueled by speed, innovation, and unwavering pursuit of success."

Peter Hope, Managing Director of Santé New Zealand Limited, echoed Dale Earnhardt Senior: "In the words of legendary driver Dale Earnhardt Senior, 'You can't win a race by standing on the sidelines.' So as we navigate the ever-changing track of our industry, Santé must always be pushing the limits, seeking new opportunities, and seizing every advantage. Let's commit to maintaining our lead and crossing the line first in every aspect of our business."

CFO Eric Maranan drew inspiration from Jackie Stewart: "Like a well-tuned engine, Santé must constantly be optimized. Let us constantly push the pedal to the metal, seeking out new ways to accelerate our progress and make innovation the driving force of our joy. As Jackie Stewart once said, 'If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough. Let's strive for the accelerating speed that pushes us to new heights.'"

Chief Product Officer Minerva Carag quoted Emerson Fittipaldi: "Our vision extends far beyond the current lap. Just as a champion driver never settles for second place, we must strive for excellence in everything we do. Through our unwavering commitment to progress, we endeavor to shape a future where everyone can reach their full potential. Let's remember the words of Emerson Fittipaldi, 'The important thing in life is to have a great goal, an objective, and to work hard to achieve it.'"

Paul Caluag returned to the stage, quoting Jim Clark: "So, as we raise our glasses, let us all toast to the exhilarating journey ahead. May speed and innovation fuel our every move. With a burning passion for progress, we must seize every opportunity to accelerate towards victory.
