Bituin Escalante shines brightly with her new song "Pasko Nanaman" and joining the roster of hurados for "Tawag ng Tanghalan"

Fresh from the success of her Cinemalaya's entry this year "Ang Duyan Kang Magiting", Stellar Diva Bituin Escalante comes back to the OPM scene by releasing a christmas song entitled "Pasko Nanaman".

Listeners will surely loved "Pasko Nanaman" as the song talks about celebrating christmas far from your loved ones. The song will be released last quarter this year.

In addition to her film and music projects, Bituin has recently joined the star-studded roster of judges in the longest running singing contest “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on It's Showtime last July 6. "As a judge, i think I'm very forgiving but my standard is same with everyone else na pag nakalabit mo ang puso ko, ikaw ang mananalo. Kwento muna bago birit!"

According to Bituin, she was initially called for the show during its pilot run however due to conflict on her schedule as she is doing theatre during that time she missed the opportunity. She is now enjoying being one of the "hurados" with her fellow great singers and working closely with "It's Showtime" family.

Bituin has enjoyed a successful career in music, beginning in pop from the 2000 Metropop Song Festival with her interpretation of the song “Paano Na” written by Arnold Reyes, and then gaining popularity for her iconic interpretation of “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana” at the 2002 Himig Handog Music Love Song Festival. The song won Song of the Year in the 2003 Awit Awards and Escalante also bagged Best Performance by a Female Artist. She has gone on to perform extensively in musical theater. 

Among her unforgettable theatre performances include Joseph the Dreamer, Waitress, Himala: Isang Musikal, Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Seussical, Alice in Wonderland, Death and The Maiden, ThreePennyOpera, Once on this Island, RENT, Dreamgirls, and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

With her recent films, music, and television endeavors, Bituin Escalante continues to be a beacon of talent and inspiration in the Filipino entertainment industry.
