Amid his busy schedule Laguna Representative Dan Fernandez manages to take a break from his work in congress to return to one of his greatest love - Acting.
Dan is cast on the much awaited Direk Joven Tan's newest horror flick "Santigwar" which is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas this October. The movie also stars Kapamilya star Alexa Ilacad and Hashtags member Paulo Angeles.
Before becoming a successful Government official, Dan is one of the finest-actor in the 90's. He is known as a versatile actor doing action, drama, and sexy movies. He also conquers the television for his portrayal as Kardo in the longest drama series on TV, Mara Clara.
During the interview, aside from sharing his excitement on his upcoming film, the actor-politician also airs his side on the decline of viewers of movies made by mainstream producers in the country, many factors was mentioned by Rep. Dan Fernandez causing the Philippine movie industry’s down fall. There is competition from foreign movies apart from piracy and social media that viewers can choose from. Dan is planning to propose a bill this year which will help local film producers.
Dan's eldest son, Danzel Fernandez plans to follow his Dad's footsteps as he also joined showbiz last year. Danzel won the PMPC Star Awards for Movies as Best New Movie Actor.
