Hapi ang Buhay the Musical, a musical comedy film produced by EBC Films, celebrates it’s successful run in over 70 cinemas nationwide with a Victory Party at Movie Stars Café, Centn‘s on April 22, 2019. EBC Films, with its mission to produce inspirational, values-based movies, is the film arm of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation. This musical comedy is also set to be screened for international audiences in major cities around world.
This musical satire on Philippine life is written and directed by internationallyacclaimed director, Carlo Ortega Cuevas, who won the Best Director in Foreign Language for the film “Walang Take Two” at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in London and the Best New Comer Filmmaker of the Year at the World Film Awards in Jakarta, Indonesia. Cuevas’ last film, Guerrero, recently won Best Feature Comedy Film at the Amsterdam International Film Festival 2018 and Best Editing in a Foreign Language Film at the Madrid International Film Festival 2018.
“The ultimate reason we at the EBC films are making movies is to promote values. And I believe that promoting values doesn’t have to be boring. So we are trying our best to educate and inspire the audience without sacrificing entertainment value,” said Cuevas.
Hapi ang Buhay the Musical is the second offering of EBC Films in its mission to produce inspirational, values-based films.
Guerrero Dos, Tuloy ang Laban Story Con
Also during the Victory Party of Hapi ang Buhay the Musical, EBC Films launches to the media the story con of its next project Guerrero Dos, Tuloy ang Laban. Due to popular demand for a part 2 for Guerrero, Director Carlo Cuevas shares bits and pieces of the follow up film which answers many questions, which were teasingly left hanging in the first Guerrero film . Also with Cuevas for the story can are the main casts composing of PMPC Best Child Actor 2017 winner Julio Sabemorio, Genesis Gomez, Mia Suarez and veteran actor/director Art De Guzman. Guerrero Dos, Tuloy ang Laban is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide in September 2019. Presently, Guerrero is being enjoyed by Filipino and international audiences overseas, with successful screenings done in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
