Beat the summer heat with fun and kilig as Arci Muñoz and JM de Guzman team up in the romantic-comedy film of the season, ‘Last Fool Show.’
Directed by Eduardo Roy Jr., ‘Last Fool Show’ revolves around Mayessa (Arci), an award-winning indie writer/director who is given a chance of a lifetime to work with her dream production company.
As she gets tasked to make a romantic-comedy movie as her first project, unfortunately she has no idea how to do one. Hesitantly, she & her friends come up with the brilliant idea of turning her own love story with her ex-boyfriend, Paulo (JM), into a movie.
Now that she is forced to relive their memories, can she avoid the feelings that come with it?
Produced by ABS-CBN Films-Star Cinema, N2, and Emba, ‘Last Fool Showimarks Arci and JM’s first project together, knowing they are very close friends since their college days in University of the Philippines.
“I was 15 then, he was 16 That was around 2005,” Arci shares. “lt matters a lot to me that we’re able to work with each other now, I feel very comfortable.
“That time we work behind the scenes. We fix costumes, props, and all other stuff that are going to be used for the theater play,” JM also shares.
It should be noted that Roy Jr., who also wrote the film, was the director of the critically acclaimed Cinemalaya 2016 entry ‘Pamilyang Ordinaryo.’
Joining the cast of ‘Last Fool Show’ are Jaymee Katanyag, Alora Sasam, Via Antonio, VJ Mendoza, Chamyto Aguedan, Kris Janson, Victor Silayan, Erin Ocampo, Pat Sugui, Cholo Barretto, Josef Elizalde, Menggie Cobarrubias, Gina Alajar, Arlene Muhlach, and Bibeth Orteza.
‘Last Fool Show’ opens April 10 cinemas nationwide.
