Grab a tissue and get ready to have your heartstrings tugged in this Regal Film's melodrama, replete with its elements of love and loss. The narrative plays out in two timeframes: an impossible love affair involving a girl who believes in serendipity, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and a guy who fell in love with his bestfriend plus twists and turns that make hearts flutter, smile and weep. The film is romantic in the purest sense with dramatic highs and lows that sweep you along - together with its beautiful settings and rousing score.

One Great Love” follows the story of Zyra Paez (Kim Chiu), who, after a failed relationship with Carl Mauricio (JC), decides to give their love another try, but soon finds herself in doubt of her life choices. Her situation gets even more complicated when she met and befriended Dr. Ian Arcano (Dennis), a heart doctor and later becoming her confidante, who may or may not be “the one”.

Without spoiling the movie, you will love and hate Kim's character after watching the film. I hate her character so much - only proves that she portrayed the role effectively. Its not the typical Kim Chiu role na madalas mapanood. Mapangahas ang role ni Kim! Applause to Dennis Trillo for his performance. He might not have the most moments, but he certainly makes the best of what he has to do. His moment during the confrontation is really effective and one of the film's highlights.

Dennis, JC, and Kim are delightful together and easy to sense their chemistry. Of course the melodramatic nature of the storyline with its high drama plot points is par for the course and tears might rolled down on your cheek. Perfect for a girls' night out or for that special night with that special someone.

One Great Love is an amazing heart wrenching story full of twists, love, and heartbreak! A unique film that touches on many real life topics and issues, lead by three complex main characters the film created a plot that will make you think and make you feel!

Showing on December 25 in cinemas
