She signed a two-year movie contract with Regal Entertainment yesterday March 27. Mariel said during the interview, "I want to develop myself as an actor. I think kasi joining Binibini help me build my confidence kasi dati super mahiyain pako pero after Binibini medyo nadevelop, then yun Panday talaga ang turning point ko in joining showbiz kasi I really enjoyed it."
The former Bb Pilipinas International beauty queen also revealed that she is slated to star in a movie under Regal Entertainment.
Mariel admittedly during the interview that she feels a lot of pressure now since her parents are both from showbiz, the Premiere Multi-Awarded Actor Christopher De Leon and Actress Sandy Andolong. She has done movie with Coco Martin last December, the fantasy-action hit "Ang Panday".
