Launch held at St. Luke’s Medical Center BGC celebrates partnership rooted in purpose and legacy

TAGUIG CITY, PHILIPPINES — iCare, the country’s leading affordable HMO, officially introduced actress and advocate Janine Gutierrez as its new brand ambassador during a launch event at St. Luke’s Medical Center, BGC on June 20, 2025.

The partnership underscores iCare’s commitment to making quality healthcare accessible, compassionate, and purpose-driven for every Filipino.

“At iCare, we don’t just offer health plans — we build safety nets,” said Geronimo V. Francisco, President and CEO of iCare.
“We create inclusive solutions for families, freelancers, and businesses — people often left behind by traditional models. We maintain sustainable pricing, work with trusted providers, and leverage technology to make healthcare simpler and faster. Because when you’re sick, red tape should be the last thing you face.”

Mr. Francisco shared that the decision to name Janine Gutierrez as brand ambassador was more than symbolic — it was deeply aligned with the company’s values of hope, dignity, and courage to say yes to better health.

“She is a voice of purpose,” he added. “We are honored to have her carry our message forward.”
A Partnership with Personal Meaning

During the event, Carol V. Dominguez, iCare Board Member and CEO of John Clements Consultants, highlighted the emotional resonance of the partnership. Her late brother, Leo V. Dominguez, a highly respected talent manager and founder of LVD Talent Management, had been a loyal iCare member during his final days. Janine Gutierrez, one of his mentees, remains under LVD’s management.

“This partnership goes beyond strategy — it’s personal,” Ms. Dominguez said.
“Leo believed in artists with substance and heart. Janine is one of those artists. And iCare was there for him when it mattered most.”

She added, “To the iCare leadership, thank you for leading with heart. And to Janine — you’re not just a brand ambassador. You are part of a legacy that stands for people over personas, meaning over marketing, and purpose above all.”

A Bold Statement in Boracay

Prior to the formal launch, iCare quietly debuted the campaign in Boracay on April 9, 2025 (Araw ng Kagitingan), where ten striking orange-sailed paraws sailed the island’s coast. Spectators initially believed it was a romantic gesture, but the installation represented a tribute to the strength it takes to prioritize health in today’s world.

“It wasn’t a love story,” Mr. Francisco said. “It was a life story.”
Driving Growth Through Purpose and Innovation

According to the Insurance Commission’s Q1 2025 report, iCare recorded a ₱104.3 million net income, marking a 210.89% growth from the previous year. The company attributes its rise to strong fiscal management and strategic tech investments, including:
• A user-friendly mobile app
• Enhanced core systems
• A fully integrated e-commerce channel
• The launch of Telemed7, iCare’s own virtual consultation service
“Thank you for believing in our mission,” Mr. Francisco concluded.
“For helping us grow not just in size — but in impact. Our vision is simple but urgent: to help every Filipino say yes to better health.”
