If you’ve been dreaming of a quick escape from the hustle and noise of the city, Camille’s Farm in Tanay, Rizal might just be the slice of paradise you’re looking for.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the breathtaking scenery — a peaceful blend of mountains, forests, and a view of the ocean in the distance. The fresh provincial breeze, the sound of rustling leaves, and the calming chirp of birds instantly made us feel at home. It was the weekend reset we didn’t know we needed.
A Warm Welcome and a Feast to Remember
We were welcomed with a delicious home-cooked lunch already prepared for us — fried tilapia, ensaladang mangga with bagoong, crispy fried chicken, and savory pancit. Each dish tasted like it came straight from a family gathering — warm, hearty, and made with love.
After lunch, we took a much-needed siesta under the kubo, where the cool breeze lulled us into pure relaxation. There’s something magical about napping in a hammock, surrounded by trees, far away from deadlines and city buzz.
Farm Tour with a Twist of Adventure
The afternoon kicked off with a tour around the farm. We were amazed by the rows of pineapples, rambutan, mangoes, and so much more. The best part? We were told we could pick and eat the fruits for free — how generous is that?
One of the unique experiences was meeting Bonjing, their 11-year-old African Sulcata tortoise, casually strolling around his sanctuary. Feeding him was such a fun and heartwarming moment — and definitely a must-try for animal lovers!
The farm also boasts a variety of vibrant plants and flowers, perfect for photo ops and nature lovers. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, with rustic charm and natural beauty blending seamlessly.
Chasing Waterfalls at Daranak Falls
One of the highlights of our stay was our visit to the nearby Daranak Falls — just a 3-minute ride from the farm! The staff graciously assisted us, and soon we were swimming, cliff-jumping, and soaking in the cool, majestic waters of one of Rizal’s most famous falls. Pro tip: try to go on a weekday to avoid the crowd!
Back at Camille’s: Pool Time & Dinner Delight
Still dripping from the falls, we dove into Camille’s Farm’s private swimming pool — complete with a mini waterfall and cave that made us feel like we were in a tropical resort. Spacious enough for a group, it was the perfect place to chill before dinner.
Speaking of dinner — sinigang na hipon, grilled liempo, chicken inasal, lumpiang shanghai, ensalada, and even cake for dessert were served to us under the stars. Every bite was delicious, and the vibe? Unmatched. We ended the night with a few drinks and stories at the gazebo, enjoying the cool breeze and laughter that carried through the night.
