About KATRINA VELARDE:
Katrina Velarde was dubbed as the “Asia’s Vocal Supreme”, starting her singing career at the young age of seven in “Amaturista”. She was also part of the “New Born Divas” which was part of Talentadong Pinoy’s Hall of Famer. She later on auditioned as a solo singer in “The X Factor Philippines” in 2012 and became part of A.K.A Jam, a group mentored by Gary Valenciano.
She reached viral fame as the Suklay Diva, when she covered Beyonce’s “Dangerously In Love” with the use of a plastic comb as her microphone. The viral video got international recognition from music industry celebrities like Chris Brown and Beyonce’s musical director Bibi McGill.
Her talent has brought her to different countries including Hong Kong, California and New Jersery. And she is well known for covering hits of international divas and local singing idols. She is currently a guest hurado in Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime.
